How to use your Be Nourished Sauerkraut Juice

We have a lot of folks who ask us “what are the different ways we can begin to add sauerkraut juice to our diets?” Thankfully, we can offer you quite a few ways to incorporate this ingredient into your daily diets and some of them are so ridiculously easy that you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

  1. Drink like a tonic: Either sip it straight or dilute it with water or even sparkling water for a fun fizzy experience.
  2. Reuse for a second ferment: This is a great way to kickstart fermentation.
  3. Salad dressings: A delicious choice, indeed! Treat it similar to vinegar, add a little bit of oil, spices, even raw honey.
  4. Nut cheese: Yum!
  5. Activate your nuts: Soak your nuts in kraut juice instead of salt water to activate them and give them great flavour.
  6. Pickled eggs: This can get exciting and will add an element of fun if your kids are helping. If you’ve made a colorful sauerkraut, for instance, you can pickle hard boiled eggs in it to get fun colors.
  7. Cold soup base:– Making gazpacho or cold cucumber soup? Add a little dash of probiotics to it!
  8. Flavor to warm soup: Not too hot, though! A little fermented brine adds great flavour. Make sure the soup isn’t so hot it will kill the good bacteria you want in your gut.
  9. Devilled eggs:– Use it in place of lemon juice or mayonnaise. We’ve got a great recipe for you here.
  10. Mix into hummus: Enough said.
  11. Speed up compost.
  12. Drizzle on grains:– What a great way to spruce up delicious rice, quinoa or other properly prepared grains
  13. Use as a marinade: It tenderizes!

  15. Bloody Mary: Hello, Sunday morning! Make brunch a healthy treat when you add some kraut juice to your Bloody Mary. Like Prince said, “Let’s go crazy!”
  16. Sautéed greens:– Rather than adding in a bit of oil, vinegar or anything else, use a bit of brine. The heat will kill the probiotics, but the flavor will be there.
  17. Krautify your condiments: It’s so easy and we have some ideas here for you to read about.
  18. Use instead of vinegar in sushi.
  19. Use as a gargle for a sore throat.
