
Helena Bay Pesto
If you love garlic and fresh herbs, then you must be a dan of a good pesto sauce, right? Pesto is made for the Italian in all of us - it's made fresh and goes great with meats or pasta, but we love using it as a dip for a veggie platter or as an added sauce for our family BBQs.
As you know, Jo was on a mission to get good foods and nutrients into her families bodies, which is why she founded Be Nourished. One of the first sauces she decided to hide her "goodness" in was a homemade pesto sauce. This one we love and adore uses our Helena Bay Sauerkraut. So fresh and oh-so-good for you!
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh herbs
- ½ cup Helena Bay Sauerkraut
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup nuts (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine herbs and nuts in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped.
- Add olive oil, process, and then add kraut and process a little more.
- Season to taste. Enjoy!
